American Politics Workshop
The NCAPSA American Politics Workshop is a one-day research workshop that takes place once a semester, usually in January and May. Like the other NCAPSA workshops, it rotates among DC-area universities. It usually involves two paper presentations in the morning and two more after lunch. Its coordinator is Danny Hayes (George Washington). Information, including the program for upcoming workshops, is posted on its website.
Identity Politics Gathering (IPG)
The DC-Area Identity Politics Gathering (IPG) is a one-day research workshop that takes place once a year. Like the other NCAPSA workshops, it rotates among DC-area universities. The spring 2019 meeting was held at George Washington University. The coordinators are Jamil Scott (Georgetown) and Shannon McQueen (George Washington).
International Relations Workshop
The Washington Area International Relations Workshop is a one-day research workshop in which 3-4 papers are presented and discussed. It is held once a year. Like the other NCAPSA workshops, it rotates among DC-area universities. The coordinators are Kate McNamara (Georgetown) and Elizabeth Saunders (Georgetown). It is currently on hiatus, but may resume regular meetings soon.
